On-Site Day Habilitation Program
Our site-based day habilitation program works with adults with developmental disabilities to experience a variety of tasks and activities and build upon skills to enrich people’s lives. Individuals are also provided recreational activities that are engaging and foster learning. People explore their communities to apply practical skills and discover new opportunities. They choose to volunteer, where they are able to give back to the community and expand social skills. Individuals are able to connect and build friendships with new people and strengthen relationships in the community and with their peers.
Day Habilitation Without Walls
Our Day Habilitation Without Walls programs are based in our local communities. Individuals participate in recreational and volunteer activities in their communities, where they learn new skills and try new experiences that enrich their lives. Participants continuously explore and become familiar with resources and places of interest in their communities. Groups also engage in volunteer activities, such as delivering meals for Meals on Wheels, making dog biscuits for the SPCA, or delivering food to food banks. These experiences provide opportunities to build community connections and give back to others. Individuals are encouraged to connect and build relationships with people in their communities, while building communication, social, and task-related skills.
The Renaissance Program
The Renaissance Program is a specialized day habilitation program for adults on the autism spectrum. We work in partnership with clinical, residential and day program services to give individuals a person-centered approach that will help them reach chosen life goals.
Individuals will work with an Applied Behavioral Science Specialist to develop plans that will serve as roadmaps for all involved in their care. It will provide staff with guidelines for effective communication and help plan their daily activity schedule.
