The Arc Mid-Hudson offers early childhood education through the Brookside School in Ulster County and the Parkside Preschool in Putnam County. These programs support children with and without special needs through inclusive learning environments, specialized services, and strong educational foundations for early growth and development.
The Brookside School offers a regionally unique community preschool that serves children with and without special needs. Your child will participate in an integrated program that serves as a Rondout Valley Central School District Universal Pre-Kindergarten site, features a preschool special education program and is a private-pay option for parents who simply wish to send their child to a top-notch preschool.
Parkside Preschool is a private, not-for-profit, New York State Department of Education approved school for children ages three- to five-years with special needs. Parkside Preschool provides center-based and community-based services to families residing in Putnam and Westchester counties. In our center-based program, our school’s primary focus is to serve children with severe communication or learning difficulties and autism spectrum disorders. Our community-based integrated classrooms are offered at the same site, in collaboration with the Pine Grove Country Day School of Mahopac.
Referrals to the program is made by your local school district’s Committee on Preschool Special Education.
