FSS Voucher Respite Reimbursement
The Arc Mid Hudson Family Support Respite Reimbursement program provides families with a voucher that allows them to purchase respite services through a respite provider of their own choosing. Respite providers are hired by the family (which can be another family member) to provide the respite, you pay the provider and send in reimbursement forms to The Arc. Families are reimbursed once the service is provided and the voucher is submitted. The family is reimbursed up to $594.00 per year and in emergent circumstances, the family may request more money. This money provides an avenue of respite for the family that can be used when they need it the most such as school holidays, before and after summer school, during a care giver illness, and when families are in crisis. All that is needed to apply for this program is a completed agency application, proof of disability for the individual and proof of OPWDD eligibility.
