What is the Renegades?

The Renegades are the Hudson Valley Self-Advocacy Groups affliated with SANYS (Self-Advocacy Association of New York State).

What is SANYS?

The Self-Advocacy Association of New York State (SANYS) is an organization for and led by people with the challenge of a disability to assure the civil rights and responsibilities that include the opportunities and choices of equal citizenship.

SANYS does this by ducating, advocating, networking, supporting, communicating, improving quality of life, sharing information and resources, and promoting respect and dignity. To learn more about the statewide organization SANYS, click here or visit www.SANYS.org.

Why should I get involved?

If you are affected by a developmental disability and wish to have your voice heard, be a leader and meet a group of like-minded people, then the Renegades is for you!

Is there a cost to become a member of the Renegades?

The Renegades raise money to host events and offer goodwill to other worthy causes.  At each meeting, it is asked that attendees bring $1 as a due.
